The Great Hall, Cooper Union

What is ReInvent Law NYC 2014?

ReInvent Law NYC 2014 is a free and open public conference devoted to law, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the legal services industry.

Anyone interested in the future of law or technology or entrepreneurship/innovation will want to attend. We promise a highly-engaging atmosphere at a historical venue, the Great Hall at Cooper Union, where Lincoln delivered his famous Cooper Union Speech in 1860 and numerous other presidents have spoken. Join us to hear about new innovations in the legal services industry (and beyond) and network with thought leaders and others interested in the next generation of law practice.

The Cooper Union Great Hall is located in The Foundation Building, 7 East 7th Street, New York City, between Third and Fourth Avenues.

ReInvent Law NYC 2014 is presented by Michigan State University College of Law, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and the ABA Journal.

What else is going on that week in NYC?

ReInvent Law NYC 2014 is part of a big week for legal technology in New York City! Those interested in the intersection of law and technology may be interested in the following events in New York City in early February:

What is the ReInvent Law Laboratory?

The ReInvent Law Laboratory was created at the Michigan State University College of Law by Professors Daniel Martin Katz and Renee Newman Knake in Spring 2012.

At ReInvent Law, we believe lawyers can change the world, but first we must change ourselves. It is time to ReInvent. The markets for legal services and legal education are in serious peril. But there is a way forward, our four pillars of innovation for the legal services industry: {Law+Tech+Design+Delivery}. Cultivating these four pillars of innovation is the goal for our ReInvent Law Laboratory.

One way we work to cultivate our four pillars of innovation is by hosting ReInvent Law Conferences around the globe. Building on the success of our recent London, Dubai, and Silicon Valley events, we selected New York City mindful of both the renowned Big Law presence and burgeoning legal startup community. We invite you to join us!

Attendance is absolutely free, but registration is required. Tickets will be limited -- when they are gone, they are gone -- so please register today!
